The Queen’s Beast Series 2023. Black Bull Of Clarence 1/4oz MS68+

Introducing the 2023 Queen’s Beasts Black Bull of Clarence 1oz Gold Coin – Graded MS68 for Exceptional Quality and Historical Impact

The 2023 Black Bull of Clarence 1oz Gold Coin is the fifth release in The Royal Mint’s Queen’s Beasts Collection, a ten-coin bullion series honouring the powerful heraldic beasts that represent the ancestry of the British monarchy. Graded MS68, this coin sits in the upper tier of condition, with strong visual appeal, well-defined strike, and nearly flawless surfaces — ideal for both collectors and investors seeking premium-grade gold.

The Black Bull of Clarence symbolises power, determination, and the assertive lineage of the House of York. Historically associated with Edward IV, the first Yorkist king of England, the black bull became a symbol of legitimacy and royal authority during one of the most turbulent eras in English history. The coin’s reverse design features the bull rearing above a shield bearing the Royal Arms of England.

Struck in 1 troy ounce of 999.9 fine gold, the Black Bull of Clarence offers exceptional purity, a commanding design, and a CGT-exempt status for UK investors. The obverse bears the elegant portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, affirming its legal tender status and enduring connection to the British Crown.
